I didn't know what I was getting into
Sep. 17th, 2010 03:19 pmA good friend has opened my eyes to the true nature of fandom at DW. Thanks to the many links provided, I've realized this place is not the paradise I thought it was. It may look better than LJ, with cool admins and good features, but this is all useless if this place is really where the PC police dwells. So I'll be keeping my activities here to a minimum, and I strongly recommend that all of my friends do the same.
Sure, the PC police has too many representants at LJ fandom too, but I see the things at DW are much more problematic. Freedom of thought is only an option if you agree with the "offended" ones, i. e., there's no real freedom of thought in DW fandom. This "either you are with us or against us" mentality is excellent for those who want to shove their opinions down the throat of other fans. I'm not one of them though, and I don't want to join the PC army, thank you very much.
